MINE recruited talented engineers and scientists to found companies to productize inventions. My main role: to coach designers and product managers in user experience practices.

In-house expert in user experience and innovation for a direct-to-consumer genetic testing startup. Product manager for experimental and next-generation products. Launched and managed 23andMe Labs, a site where staff scientists made experimental software tools available to customers.

Managed teams of 10 to 200+. Coordinated the company’s user experience activities worldwide. Decentralized the U.S. design organization, resulting in more tightly knit product teams.
